Adam Greydon Reid and his small crew, including award-winning cinematographer Luc Montpellier, were the first Canadians to film a music video on the streets of Havana. During filming, the crew attracted the attention of dozens of children and other passers-by who Reid incorporated into the narrative. The result is a dance between music video and documentary that transmits the unique energy of this timeless place through song and snapshots of Cuban life. The One I Loved (De Ti Enamorada) is sung by one of Cuba’s best-loved vocalists, the late Caridad Cuervo. Cuervo had attracted international attention at the Tropicana Club in Havana in the 1950s and 60s.
